A clear cut reason why we should not protest against ChaCha
I speculate that President Arroyo has no intentions of extending her term through a Charter Change. Ignore whatever crappy press release the Palace says to rationalize ChaCha. All for economic prosperity by letting foreigners land rape our country? The ChaCha issue is but a dummy, something that was intentionally implanted to create a ruckus. Said ruckus would cause nationalistic but militant groups initiate uprisings. Include the hopeful/hopeless opposition members who join protest rallies in hopes of power grabbing. After so many failed coups, their only way to be catapulted into power is by aligning themselves with groups who share their (self)interests.
Again. These militant and opposition groups, with whom I share the same sentiments but not political beliefs, have long been labeled as terrorists due to their revolutionary cause. Terrorists are a threat to national security. Under the Republic, the Constitution tells us that, in the event of such 'threat', the state has the power to declare a state of emergency. And this leads to an inevitable military junta, or military dictatorship. Same banana.
Politics is a very bland and disgusting subject. Really. It's too complicated to summarize in a couple of sentences. How about a video?
