The gnawing feeling starts when you wake up in the middle of the night. And then you find trouble going back to sleep. You toss and turn while wrestling your pillows. You spend an eternity of a minute forcing yourself to go back to sleep.
You close your eyes. Nothing. You open them again, and closed them harder. Maybe shutting your eyes tighter would help you fall asleep immediately. Not.
It's not exactly hot, your room's properly ventilated. But you feel agitated, enough to make you sweat. You want to rest but you can't and you feel like it's enough to drive you insane. You feel your irritation rising. You wipe your face with a hand. Nothing happens, so you throw a tantrum in bed.
It's annoying. You just know it's coming when it does.
