I usually reflect on my life the way I would look at the ocean. Not that I've been to the ocean many times.
But it's like that, when I look down at the water beneath me and try to see what's in it. I gaze deeply and spend time wondering what's underneath and how deep the water is. I wonder if that shadow that passed by was a fish - a small one or a big one? maybe a dinosaur? - the possibilities are endless. Endless, and I can waste time guessing.
But all in all, everything I needed to see is close to the surface. I've realized for the past week that I'll find what I've been looking for, if only I know where to look.
Understanding comes only when eyes are open. Now that I see clearly, I see the ocean in a different light.
