Pyro Olympics III

3rd World Pyro Olympics - Part 3
May 24, 2008 (May 17) - Italy vs Venezuela

Last week's show was cancelled due to a typhoon. This week, I managed to head there together with my family. We had a reservation in Healthy Shabu Shabu, and this is actually the second week in a row that we've eaten from a hot pot. But enough about the food.

We only got to watch the first set, I think it was Italy(but I was wrong, it was Venezuela). We had to go home right after that, so I'll be narrating what I saw from Venezuela's performance in detail. It was windy, which might be the reason for the explosions' horrible synchronization. Or maybe that was just me, looking for a pattern in some random fireworks display.

The first striking shot for me was those that looked like spaghetti noodles spouting from the sky. No, more like bronze angel hair noodles, sparkling their way out of the clouds. Next came the big fireworks, that appeared to me like flower pots - there were linear explosions going upwards from below, followed by big explosions up in the air, as if they were blooming flowers. After this were multi-colored explosions that reminded me of the colors of the rainbow.

Then came the hearts, and the circles and the clovers. Soon there was a multitude of shining lights, like fireflies shimmering in the skies, lining themselves in a manner by which they branched out into groups.

Near the end, there were big fireworks flying upward like dandelions being blown. But the most memorable was the rampaging candy-colored explosions. It ended with a few blinding sparkles.

This goes out for the person whom I always watch fireworks with. =)
Sad we didn't have a camera. My sister forgot to bring the digicam. Next week, I'll surely bring one. D:
