Fall into my hands

There are things in life that I wanted but I didn't get because I didn't take the effort to get them. I believed that if it's meant to be, then it would find a way to fall into my hands.

There are things in life that I wanted to happen but they didn't because I didn't take the effort to make them happen. I believed that if it's going to be, then it will find a way to happen without me taking a hand on it.

After some time, I discovered that Destiny is not a pre-ordained plan that would automatically execute itself. There is no invisible hand that would grab the things I want for me. I have to go reach for them myself. If I'm lucky enough, they might just fall into my hands, as if it was really meant to be.

A Chinese proverb says that "a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Baby steps, then. Baby steps. If I want to run, then I must first learn how to walk.
